25th Screen Actors Guild Award Nominations LIVE!

It’s time now for the most important prognosticator in the business, the 25th Annual Screen Actors Guild Award Nominations! While last year’s Best Picture winner, The Shape of Water, was snubbed by the acting branch, it still serves as the leading indicator out there – Shape is one of only two films in the history of the SAG Awards to not be nominated by the group and still win Best Picture. And due to the excessive overlap in voting blocks for both shows, what you see here this morning will be about 80% of your eventual Oscar nominees. So who will get in? Can Black Panther shock the world? Will they go blockbuster friendly with Crazy Rich Asians and A Star Is Born? Just how well will Vice – a film tailor-made for this branch – do? And can The Favourite cement itself an Oscar frontrunner? We’ll find out soon enough as the nominees will be posted below in real time, and I will be back later today with a write-up on these nominations and what they mean. See you then!
